help build my current work in progress: NIGHTQUEEN
The NightQueen Performance Suite is more than a 21st century multi-disciplinary performing arts project. It is an iterative creative engine for real-time community engagement.
NightQueen is inspired by histories of resistance and activism that are informing our collective response to climate crisis.
Part rock opera, part video game meditation, part theatrical experiment, NightQueen moves between unchartered worlds within the cloud, through rising tides, dying rivers, and melting ice towards reservoirs of hope.
The core theater, music and performance events in the suite can be activated around bespoke public engagement programming, empowering audiences around critical social justice issues.
Over the last several years, I’ve secured nearly $175K in artistic awards and philanthropic investment to build the scores, scripts, and advocacy strategy for the NightQueen Performance Suite, including water riot!
Now I am leveraging this investment to engage the public, demonstrating the power of arts as an economic engine and advocacy platform.
NightQueen is ambitious.
